Mental health is vitally important aspect of our general health and wellness. Mental health covers everything from stress and depression as well as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses. The type of problem will usually determine the most appropriate health professional. Sometimes, a medical approach is suitable based on the symptoms of the illness and the other issues being experienced. For other problems such as stress, a more specific psychological approach may be more suitable. This can help teach coping strategies, time management and other ways to assist in lifestyle management. It usually a very practical approach.
